Taqwaa Is What Counts

April 1, 2013 § Leave a comment

Ibn Rajab al-Hanbalee: It may be that the people disparage a person due to his weakness and his little portion of the worldly life while he has a greater value near Allaah, the Exalted, than the one who is valued in the worldly life (by the people). For indeed, the people vary according to the (level of their) Taqwaa. Just as Allaah, the Exalted said: “Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allaah is the most righteous of you.” [Soorah al-Hujuraat (49): 13]
