Al-Barbahaaree’s Sincerity

Shaykh Muhammad Ramzaan: “When Hasan ibn Alee al-Khalaf al-Barbahaaree [d.329] (the author of the famous book Sharhus Sunnah) died nobody prayed upon him except for his servant, who washed his body and prayed on him. We see that even if he (al-Barbahaaree) was not given much importance to in his life, his monumental book continues to remain and is taught throughout to students everywhere. This is in itself a proof for his sincerity, because what is done for Allaah (alone) remains!”
