A Sign of Destruction

Ibn al-Qayyim (rahimahullaah) said: Indeed, the slave continues to commit sins until it becomes insignificant and small in his heart, and that is from the signs of destruction. — [ad-Daa wad-Dawaa]

Ibn Mas’ood: The believer sees his sins as if he is sitting at the base of a mountain, fearing that it was about to fall upon him, while the sinner sees his sins as a fly that lands on his nose, he just waves it away. — [at-Tirmidhi, Book 37, Hadith 2685]
