Ruling of Leaving the Miswaak in One’s Mouth

November 13, 2015 § Leave a comment

Question: Some of the people place the miswaak in their mouth whether he is sitting, walking, riding, and he is not actually brushing with it, he only leaves it in his mouth. So what is the ruling on this action?

Answer by Shaykh al-Uthaymeen rahimahullaah: This is not the sunnah. As for just leaving the siwaak in the mouth without brushing with it, then there is no benefit.
